This post focuses on fun DIY pet projects that anyone can make. Why not try one today?
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE making things for my pets. I have three cats and they’re absolutely spoiled.
DIY pet projects can be a lot of fun because they’re generally quite small, inexpensive and quick. They’re fun impulsive projects and you can get really creative with them. They can also be awesome for using up scraps of fabric you already have around the house.
I’ve compiled a list of 10 DIY pet projects that your furry friends are sure to love. From collars to cage liners, there’s a little of everything in this list.
01. A Custom Collar
Why limit yourself to the selection of collars at your local pet store? When you make your own collar you have control over the colors, fabrics, and sizing. You can make collars that compliment your pet’s fur color and new collars for every holiday. Think big!

02. A No-Sew Pet Bed
Your pets deserve a cozy place to sleep—but it doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. It also doesn’t have to require a bunch of specialized skills! This pet bed comes together quickly, and could even be a fun project for kids. Use fabric you already have around the house, or go shopping and pick out some new fabrics that match your existing decor. Whatever fabric you go with, your furry little friend is sure to love it.

03. DIY Cat Tree
Spoil your feline friend with a handmade cat tree! This tutorial is a little more involved than some of the others and involves a trip to the hardware store and some actual construction. But I have faith in you! It could be a fun project to tackle with friends.

04. Pet Snuffle Mat
If your pet eats too quickly, snuffle mats are a great way to force them to show down between bites. It’s also a great boredom-buster; add a bunch of treats and let your little friend dig around for them. You don’t need a lot of supplies and it comes together quickly!

05. Homemade Pet Treats
If your pet has dietary restrictions, or you’re just looking for a new way to spoil them, why not bake them some homemade treats? If you love spending time in the kitchen baking and decorating, this could be the project for you! Why don’t you make some extra and donate them to your local animal shelter, or give them to friends’ pets?

06. Small Pet Cage Liner
Of course, cats and dogs aren’t the only pets! If you have Guinea Pigs or other small pets, why not make some custom cage liners? Because these can be washed, you’re going to save time and money in the long run. Plus you can add some color to your pet’s cage!

07. Crinkle Cat Toys
If you have a cat you know how much they love things that make a crinkly noise. Mine love playing with plastic (which of course I have to confiscate because it’s not safe). Why not make your own crinkle cat toys? They’re cute, inexpensive, and you can even make a few extra to gift to your local pet shelter!

08. Dog Rope Toy
Of course, it’s not just cats who love toys. If you’re looking for a new toy for your dog, why not make one? This DIY rope toy is an awesome project because not only are you making a cute toy, but you’re repurposing old t-shirts you might have otherwise thrown away.

09. Food & Water Station
You’ve got to put your pet’s food and water somewhere—why not create a cute food & water station that matches your home décor? There are tons of options, but I love this adorable ombre wood feeding station. It’s simple, it’s easy to make, and doesn’t require any specialized skills. You can get wood cut at the hardware store if you don’t have a way to cut it yourself!

10. Guinea Pig Cuddle Sack
Here’s another one for your small animal friends! This “cuddle sack” is great for Guinea Pigs and other small creatures like hamsters, rats, hedgehogs, and ferrets (just make sure to size it appropriately!). Just because they’re little doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be spoiled too!

Are you ready to spoil your pet?
I love spoiling my cats. They have way too many toys, but I’m not going to stop giving them new ones anytime soon! How about you? Do you love spoiling your pets?
Of course, you don’t have to limit your crafting to your pets! Make some extras to give to the pets of family members and friends. Or make a bunch to donate to local shelters!
