20 Gorgeous Fall DIYs to Welcome Autumn in Style

If you’re a crafter who loves fall, this list of 20 fall DIYs is right up your alley! Let’s get that fall décor ready!

I love fall—and I know I’m not alone!

There is something so magical about the colors on the leaves and the way they blanket the ground as they fall. The world becomes so… pretty.

Of course, there are many of us who like to help it along by going all-out with our décor. Wreaths, pumpkins, brightly colored leaves… fall melts into Halloween, and the décor continues on.

I think that’s part of why decorating for fall is so fun. Some people start as early as August, and those decorations stick around until October, sometimes even November. It’s not like decorating for Easter, where you maybe only get a week or two of enjoyment out of the decorations. Fall decorations stick around for the long haul.

Because fall decorations stay up for so long, it’s good to add some new pieces to the mix every year. But shopping for fall décor can get so expensive if you go for the pre-made items.

Fear not, creatives! There is so much gorgeous fall décor that you can make, even on a budget—and I’ve compiled this list of 20 gorgeous fall DIYs to get you started!

And so, without further ado, the list!

20 Gorgeous Fall DIYs

01. Wooden Bead Garland

Photo from The Country Chic Cottage.

Wood bead garlands are so cute, and can be put just about anywhere for a little bit of autumn décor. Drape it over some shelves, place it in a cute basket, or wrap it around a pumpkin. It’s such a simple project, but that’s what makes it so fun!

I am obsessed with all things polymer clay, and I’ve made my fair share of these adorable mini pumpkins. You can do so many different things with them, too! Turn them into earrings or necklace pendants, add them to a larger project like a doll house, give them away to your fellow pumpkin lovers, or give them faces and turn them into pumpkin pets!

These stamped napkins are so pretty, and they add a subtle touch of fall without going too crazy. This is perfect for people who want to add some fall to their décor without being too showy about it. They also make gorgeous gifts!

This branch mobile is gorgeous and would look stunning on your wall. It’s so pretty in its simplicity and would look great with some other fall décor under it.  You could also put it over windows, or use a little glow-in-the-dark paint to add designs that are only visible when the lights are off!

Some people just can’t live without coasters, and if you’re one of them, why not try this simple felt project? 12. Burlap Pumpkin Banner

Burlap, twine, and pumpkins? You can’t get more “autumn” than that! This cute banner would be great inside or outside—either on its own or draped around actual pumpkins! Of course, you’re not limited to burlap! This is definitely a craft you can customize to your own tastes and décor style!

More pumpkins, of course! These super cute felt pumpkins are fairly simple to construct and look absolutely adorable. Why not cut out some Jack-o’-lantern face shapes out of black felt and add them? 17. Faux Leather Fall Earrings

Photo from Amy Romeau.

This is a Cricut project, but if you don’t have a cutting machine of your own,  you could certainly trace some leaf shapes into the faux leather and cut them out by hand! (Don’t let your lack of a fancy piece of equipment stop you from making art!) I love the simplicity of these earrings; they’re stunning.

18. Acorn Nest Necklace

Photo from Garden Therapy.

This is such a pretty, yet simple, fall necklace. You really only need the top of an acorn, some little blue beads (or make some eggs with polymer clay!), glue, and necklace chain. (Okay, maybe a few other little things, but that’s the general idea!) I seriously love it.

19. Fall Leaf Garland

Photo from Hoot Shack.

This felt garland is so pretty,  and would look stunning draped in front of a window or perhaps over a bed headboard. It really goes to show that gorgeous crafts don’t have to be complicated and that you don’t need to break the bank to put together beautiful fall décor.

20. Pumpkin Pot Holder

Photo from Stacey Lee.

I love this patchwork pot holder; it would make a great addition to any kitchen. Particularly one decked out for fall! And because it’s a patchwork project, you can use up scraps that you already have lying around. I really enjoy crafts that can use up the little pieces I have left over from other projects. Hopefully, you’ve been keeping all your fabric scraps!
