If you’ve jumped on the 3D printing bandwagon for your polymer clay creations, you already know how game-changing printable clay cutters can be. They’re affordable, endlessly customizable, and let you experiment with trendy shapes and seasonal designs without the wait.

But where do you find the best STL files for cutters that are actually clean, functional, and cute?

I’ve rounded up 10 great shops and designers that offer downloadable clay cutter files—plus a few extra places to browse when you’re in the mood to explore.

Individual Shops to Check Out

Below is a curated list of my favourite clay cutter shops. I’ve personally made purchases or downloaded files from every single one of them, and I’ve loved everything I’ve bought.

Note: If you’re looking for clay cutters to make pieces you’ll eventually sell, be sure to check the licensing on cutters before you buy them. The files on MakerWorld are free, for example, but are often intended for personal use only.

01. CraftuniCutters on Etsy

Clean shapes, trendy sets, and a wide variety of seasonal cutters make CraftuniCutters a go-to for clay artists who love variety. Even better? They have a Patreon where you can receive monthly drops featuring one-of-a-kind cutter files and gain access to hundreds of additional files. I’ve been subscribed for several months… Best subscription ever.

UtterlyCutterly offers modern, minimal, and trendy shapes. Their STL bundles are perfect for building out your cutter collection in a flash. Their cutters are some of the very first that I 3D printed and make up a significant portion of my cutter collection. They’re regularly adding new designs, too! If you have a Creative Fabrica subscription, you can download as many as you want, as often as you want.

Looking for more geometric and abstract shapes? GeazlaCutters offers a wide range of options, from simple forms to more complex cutter combinations. This is a newer shop to me, and I stumbled across it during a search for a specific cutter shape. I’m glad I did! They’re one of my new go-to shops.

Bonus: Sites to Browse for More Cutter Files

Want to do some digging on your own? These three platforms are full of designers, shapes, and bundles to suit every style:

  • MakerWorld – Tons of free and paid files from community designers. Great for experimenting. Be mindful of licensing if you want to sell the clay creations you make from these files!
  • Etsy – Search “clay cutter STL” or “polymer clay cutter printable” to find a wide variety of shapes and bundles. There are so many—I’ve barely scratched the surface with this list.
  • Creative Fabrica – Known for digital crafting files, with lots of incredible bundles and licensing options. If you don’t have a Creative Fabrica membership, you need one. Seriously. I use mine all the time, and the amount of money I’ve saved by having a membership, vs. paying for individual files, is insane.

Designing your own 3D printable clay cutters

Despite all the options available for you, it’s entirely possible you might not find precisely what you’re looking for. You might want to learn how to create your own!

I’ll write a longer post about this in the future, but for now, you might want to check out the following YouTube series – it’s the same one I’m using to learn how to design my own cutters!

Utterly Cutterly’s tutorials

Will you make any of these 3D printable clay cutters?

When it comes to 3D printing your own clay cutters, your options are endless. Whether you’re into geometric, floral, or funky styles, these shops make it easy to try new shapes without breaking the bank.
